Why do you postpone yourself?

You clicked on this email

because that sentence called out to you.

That sentence comes from Seneca.

And it’s 2,000 years old.

And in these 2,000 years, human nature hasn’t changed.

It’s Monday morning.

A new day. A new week.

You know what you have to do to achieve YOUR goals.

But you will start the day grinding for someone else.

On things that don’t matter to you.

Things that matter to someone else.

Maybe to your boss.

But what are you going to do for yourself?

Often I found myself prioritizing my goals.

Like “I want to read more”.

Only to then start with the tasks that are least important to me.

We put the first thing last.

The solution:

—Start moving yourself into the morning—

If you have a job, wake up 3hr before and work on your projects.

We all know we are too tired in the evening to get stuff done.

Work on the projects that matter to you.

That give you purpose.

That fulfill you.

Put yourself first.

Cheers, Timo
