How to Quit Your Bad Habits in 2025

The path to secure your future is simple

I want you to imagine your future with me.

A world where you don’t:

  • Watch p*rn.

  • Scroll Insta.

  • Binge-watch YT.

  • Seek that off day.

  • Seek that next vacation.

  • Seek that cheap dopamine.

A world where:

  • You make progress every day.

  • You feel excited about your work.

  • You get energy from doing hard shit.

  • You make more money than ever before.

  • You find it simple to say “no” to almost anything.

In this letter, I will tell you what worked for me.

The path to securing your future is simple:

Change your location.

I believe habits are tied to a location.

Imagine you live in a city with fast-food restaurants on every corner.

Let's say it's a juicy Mexican burrito place.

Right next to your office.

When leaving work, you are starving.

That burrito is so tempting.

So you grab it.

Over and over again.

Fast food will cause brain fog and make you lazy.

Now you come home. Your brain is foggy, digesting the fat meal.

So you sit down on the comfy couch. Unable to do hard stuff.

So, you start scrolling social media.

You look up and it's 10pm. You scrolled for 3 hours.

It's a downward spiral.

The more often you do it, the more ingrained it becomes in your routine.

And your subconscious ties the burrito to you coming home from work.

Forming a strong habit.

So how do you get rid of these bad habits?

I found a cheat code:

Leave your city.

Go to a new city.

A city that brings out the best in you.

Build your future with good habits.

I swear, you will not even think about that burrito anymore.

Literally, from day one, you can have brand-new habits.

For now, I found that place in Bangkok.

Go to Google Flights.

Book that one-way ticket to Bangkok.

Get a nice condo.

Build great habits.

Get into that upward spiral.

Never look back.

When the plane touches down in Bangkok, I immediately switch to “being-the-best version-of-myself-mode.”

I don’t even think about cheap sources of dopamine.

I mostly eat very healthily.

I sleep well for 8 hrs.

I only surround myself with people who add something positive to my life.

Your future depends on your habits.

Change your location. Change your habits.

Best, Timo
