Don't fall behind - High income skills for 2024

Happy Sunday from Bali guys.

High income skills is what allowed me to travel and work from all kinds of places in the world.

For example last week I was in Vienna, Austria.

Now I’m in Bali.

And I’m gonna work from here for the next few months.

High income have given me the freedom to work and travel at the same time.

Bali

1. Sales

Everything in life is sales.

Sales is more than just closing a deal. It is:

  • Convincing someone to work with you

  • Convincing someone to hire you

  • Convincing someone to date you

  • Convincing anyone to give you money for your product

Master Sales and you get everything you want in this life.

Action Steps

Read the book INFLUENCE by Robert Cialdini. It goes deep into having people do what you want.

2. AI Proficiency

So, I don’t about you, but AI is part of my everyday life already.

  • My Software company runs on AI.

  • I have copywriting done by AI.

  • I have a second brain in ChatGPT.

ChatGPT is fastest growing application ever.

It produces 100 billion words per day already. And it is here to stay.

I have a clear opinion about AI. It will take over 80% of knowledge jobs in 10 years. GPT-4 already has a higher IQ than most people and it’s just the start guys.

Action Steps

  1. Spend at least 30mins a day with AI.

  2. Get the premium version of ChatGPT. It allows for much more and is much smarter than the free version.

  3. Build your own GPT. GPT? What is that? That is simply said your own AI. You can train it by uploading documents. You can also upload voice notes and YouTube video scripts. You can upload basically any text. For example, if you're in university, you can upload all your course content. Then, GPT can form questions from it.

3. Audience Building

This might the most critical skill and the one with the most leverage.

You build an audience by giving free value to people.

This is done through creating content and posting it on social media.

Why does that work so well and why is it so popular?

Attention is the new currency. And where is it?

It’s on social media, on YouTube on Instagram on TikTok. Check this graph. Mind-blowing.

Having an audience makes everything else that you do 10x easier.

  • Launching a new product. Getting feedback on it.

  • Attracting for business partners or investors.

  • Or even for dating

Making content online is like digital real estate.

Action Steps

  • Read the book “Show Your Work” from Austin Kleon.

  • This book actually made Ali Abdaal start with YouTube.

4. Content Repurposing

Content comes in three forms: short, medium, and long.

  • Short-form links to medium-form

  • Medium-form links to long-form

  • Long-form links to your products

Short-form allows you to test ideas and build an audience:

  • Tweets

  • IG posts & stories

  • Reels & TikToks

  • Shorter LinkedIn posts

Medium-form is a mixture of depth and rapid growth:

  • Threads

  • Carousels

  • Instagram captions

  • Full-length LinkedIn posts

  • Clipped videos

Long-form prioritizes depth and authority:

  • Newsletters

  • Articles

  • Podcasts

  • YouTube videos

  • A book (when and if you want to)

Action Steps

  • Make one long-form content per week. This can be a newsletter or a YouTube video.

  • From that, cut out 3-5 medium-format posts

  • Create short-form content from ideas that pop into your head

5. Marketing Funnel Building

Online Marketing has evolved.

It's not enough anymore to only have a website with a "buy button."

People want to:

  • Be guided

  • Receive free value

  • Get educated

Like in a real store.

Where a person goes with you through the store and helps you find the right product for you.

This is what a funnel does. Guide visitors to take action.

Most companies don't do this yet.

A typical boomer marketing campaign looks like this

  1. Ad

  2. Book a call

Would you book a call? Probably not.

Example from one of my most successful funnels back in the days

  1. Linkedin ad

  2. Free automated webinar (Video-Sales-Letter)

  3. Give a free e-book

  4. Send a personalized Loom video.

  5. Ask for a meeting.

People get tons of value. And in return they are happy to book a call.
